Bright and early on Saturday, May 18, Baldwin residents gathered in Baldwin Park for the much-anticipated Baldwin Civic Association Bike Parade. By 9:00 A.M., the park was bustling with excitement
as families, children, and community members arrived, ready for a day of fun and fitness. The event was supported by generous sponsors, with Oceanside Bike fitting helmets for participants, Super Fresh providing an abundance of fruits and water, and BCA members warmly greeting families while discussing the bike revitalization plan.

As the parking lot filled with eager participants, it became clear that this event was going to be a huge success. The dedicated officers from Baldwin's First Precinct efficiently cordoned off the roads,
ensuring the safety of all riders throughout the parade.

The day officially began with an engaging bike safety lesson led by a local police officer. Children gathered around, listening attentively as they learned essential tips and practices for safe biking. With
newfound knowledge and confidence, the children set off on the park trails, accompanied by their families and guided by police officers. The route went through the park, and the air was filled with laughter and the sound of training wheels hitting the concrete.

As the children completed their ride and returned to the parking lot, the adults prepared for their own biking adventure. Many avid cyclists took this opportunity to connect with fellow bike enthusiasts as they embarked on a scenic route around town. The camaraderie among the riders was palpable, and the shared love for biking created a sense of unity and community spirit.

The event concluded with participants returning to the park's starting point, their faces glowing with happiness and contentment. The combination of well-organized activities, community engagement, and beautiful weather made for an unforgettable day for Baldwin residents.
