Membership in the BCA is annual, and runs from January 1 to December 31 each year. Being a paid-up member is a requirement for being able to vote on questions at membership meetings and provides certain membership benefits.

Membership in the BCA is open to all residents of voting age who live within the 11510 ZIP code or who live in an area that pays Baldwin School taxes. Exceptions for those from neighboring towns are subject to board approval.
