Mission


The mission of the Baldwin Civic Association is to foster our wonderfully diverse community and maintain the quality of life in Beautiful Baldwin.

The Baldwin Civic Association seeks to:

Encourage public participation and awareness within the community.

  • Hold monthly meetings
  • Send members notice of municipal activities
  • Send members notice of community events
  • Hold fundraisers


Encourage and implement neighborhood improvements and beautification projects.

  • Develop Baldwin Community Garden
  • Install Welcome to Baldwin lightpole flags
  • Advocate for municipal improvements with local governments
  • Participate in clean-ups at Lofts Pond, Milburn Pond, and Silver Lake
  • Monitor and report code violations


Help preserve and maintain our parks and open spaces with the support of the community and government.

  • Monitor park maintenance
  • Acquire and tend sidewalk planters
  • Advocate for improvements in Baldwin and Coes Neck parks
  • Advocate for maintenance of creeks and ponds
  • Push for installation of LIRR "Baldwin" sign



Encourage residents to buy locally—put your dollars back where you live, work, and play.

  • Publicize openings of new businesses
  • Publicize "Shop Local" initiatives
  • Hold events at local venues



Encourage new business in our area.

  • Work with municipalities to encourage new businesses
  • Advocate for Baldwin with potential new businesses
  • Produce statistics about Baldwin residents
  • Encourage improvements to increase attractiveness of area



Partner with other organizations to achieve these objectives.

  • Participate in annual Big Sweep
  • Publicize events of other Baldwin organizations
  • Participate in Community Coalition of Baldwin
  • Publicize news about Baldwin and its residents
