It’s not every day that the Easter Bunny visits town, but that’s what happened on Saturday, March 30, 2024 when the Baldwin Civic Association held the Spring Swing and Bazaar at Baldwin Park where families and children gathered to celebrate a day full of fun and Easter spirit.

Members of the Baldwin Civic Association, local vendors, and students from Baldwin High School's Key Club and Art Club arrived at Baldwin Park early to prepare the site for the event. They set up multiple stands with activities for children and goods for adults, ensuring that attendees of all ages would have ample things to do. Despite the windy conditions, they set up the event without a hitch and were ready by 11:00 to welcome visitors.

As families trickled into Baldwin Park, they were greeted by the Easter Bunny himself, along with various activities operated by high school volunteers. They were also free to look around at the goods offered by the excellent vendors and participate in the Easter basket raffle. However, the real fun began when fitness instructor and entertainer, ChrisFit 3D, began a show, accompanied by the hilarious "Funny Man," and inviting kids and adults of all ages to join in dances and interactive games. Following ChrisFit 3D’s performance, the local jazz band Musically Inclined presented their exceptional talents, taking to the stage to perform soothing and relaxing music for the event.

Meanwhile, the Easter Egg hunts, organized by the event planners, sent children ranging from ages 3 to 10 loose in multiple waves to search for eggs containing delicious candies. Finally, the raffle winners were announced, and the lucky recipients were presented with two large Easter baskets, much to their delight.

In closing, this year’s Spring Swing and Bazaar was an incredible success, and we hope next year will bring the same level of excitement for the kids as this one did.
